"Morro Bay Rock can be seen for miles--it is huge!!! I sure wouldn't want to be next to it if there is an earthquake and a piece high up falls off. Morro Rock is like a magnet drawing people (hikers, bicyclists, bird watchers, fishermen/women, dog walkers, tourists, indigenous folk having meetings, sun worshipers, kayakers, surfers, sailors, stone stackers, and kids of all ages. It looks so strong standing there in all of its majesty!!! It must be a sacred spot for the ancient ones. We saw sea otters swimming on their backs, and jumping out of the water; along with seals barking. Fifty years ago, when the nearby power plant was in full operation and heating the surrounding sea, I heard you had to be careful not to step on the rays. A large variety of birds perch on the Rock, and use the surrounding air space. It is quite the adventure to go go there! You never quite know who or what you might see!"

"Absolutely Awesome. I enjoyed the Welcome Reef Center. Very friendly and helpful student's explaining the sea life. The beach is nice. Tide pools as you walk further north on the sand. I recommend this place. However if you park your car. Make sure you follow the rules as to where you park. Nobody wants a ticket. On a recent visit I got a $48 ticket. But it was dismissed. They failed to notice my handicap placard."

"Good bento box. It took 30 minutes to make, but I assumed they time was necessary because they are making it from scratch. They also call you when the order is finished so you can wait inside your car. I recommend going there to order the 1st time and once you figure out what to get, you can call them and place your order."
